It was during the midst of the first-wave lockdown that Rainbow Pooch Pride took the next steps to becoming officially constituted as an unincorporated association. Now operating worldwide as a membership-driven network hub, it continues to facilitate local group activity that supports its mission and aims.

Central to its establishment has been the development of the management committee and today we introduce its Officers:

Georgina Biggs – Founder and Chair

Georgina is an independent artist, academic and social entrepreneur. Outside of Rainbow Pooch Pride she runs SheWolf, a disabled-led theatre company committed to deepening human connections to a more-than-human world through performance. Georgina recognises the profound effects on wellbeing that nurturing a relationship with a more-than-human world can have and sees it as her life purpose to facilitate experiences where these interrelations can be (re)found and (re)valued. Minus the performance, Rainbow Pooch Pride is an extension of this work, the social application of her commitment -applied within a community that she is part of. Georgina a dog mum to two, is the alchemist behind Rainbow Pooch’s many manifestations and brings over twelve years’ experience in strategic event and project management to the table.

Elena Marino – Treasurer

Elena is an experienced accountant and strategic practice manager. In her daily life she is responsible for overseeing the operations of a busy dental practice, something which has enabled her to develop a strong working knowledge of budgetary management and financial administration. Elena naturally balances a good dose of humour with strong strategic and forward-thinking skills, and is a skilled relationship manager whose portfolio strengths are business development and stakeholder management. She is also a dog mum to one and is our ‘safe pair of hands’ bringing over 20 years managerial experience to ensure structure and financial governance within our operations.

Jennie Walker – Secretary

Jennie is a skilled mentor and inspirational programme manager within the Ministry of Justice. Due to the sensitive nature of her work, Jennie has developed strong working knowledge of regulatory policies and procedures – a critical voice needed in the sound development of Rainbow Pooch Pride. Also, as she manages a diverse team Jennie has developed an empathic, caring, and responsive style to accommodate peoples’ individual needs. Jennie is a mum to one (human), is an efficient organiser keeping us all on track, and brings to the table over 15 years of administrative and managerial experience.

Please note, we are currently looking for a new officer to fulfill the role of Acting Membership Manager and up to three general committee members. Interested parties should contact Georgina at hello@rainbowpoochpride.com.
